Sonas Day Centre in Mervue is celebrating Positive Ageing Week 2016 (26th September – 2nd October) with a full week of activities for people who use the service and the Mervue Community. “Improve quality of life for Older People living in Galway,” says COPE Galway

Launching our annual report for 2015, COPE Galway highlights the issues experienced by over 1600 households in Galway City and parts of the County relating to homelessness, domestic violence and older people. In 2015 COPE Galway worked with 565 older people in need of nutritional and social supports. Based on our experiences and observations, there are 2 main areas that we are calling on the Government to address in our pre budget submission for 2017, also launching today. Click here for information in relation to our Services for Older People.
