Business Leaders To Brave it Again despite last years’ Storm Desmond

Over 30 participants are expected to brave the Business Leader Sleep Out for Cope Galway again this year despite having had to sleep out in the middle of Storm Desmond in 2015.  Speaking at the launch earlier this month, Gerry Halloran from Motorpark recalls ‘getting ‘soaked to the skin’ a number of times, and Hannah Kiely from HC Financial reminded attendees that this weather and other stark conditions is not unusual for those experiencing homelessness night after night.

Business men and women from Galway City and County have readily agreed to participate in the sleep out this year. “It is heartening to see such a large number of businesses gathering together again this year for this the 5th year of the event to raise funds for the 2016 campaign” says Jacquie Horan Cope Galways CEO.  The organisation welcomes the recent “Rebuilding Ireland Action Plan” launched by the Government and is active in putting solutions in place at local level in partnership with other key agencies.

COPE Galway invites other business leaders to join them for the event and make this the biggest business leader Sleepout ever.   To support this great initiative, more details can be found at
